Chat on your website in 2 minutes

Ready-made plugins for WordPress and OpenCart — your site ID is already inside. For other platforms, it’s one line of code.

Before you install

Sign up for Talkoly, no card needed, and add your website’s name and domain. The code and plugins then appear under “Settings → Websites”. The code looks like this:

<script src="https://talkoly.com/w.js" data-site="ID" async></script>

WordPress and WooCommerce

  1. In your Talkoly dashboard: Settings → Websites → your website → “WordPress / WooCommerce plugin”. The talkoly-wordpress.zip file will download.
  2. In your WordPress admin: Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin → choose the file → Install Now → Activate.
  3. Done. Settings (turning the chat off, sending shopper details) are under “Settings → Talkoly chat”.

OpenCart

  1. OpenCart 3: download talkoly.ocmod.zip from your Talkoly dashboard.

  3. Extensions → Modifications → the blue “Refresh” button in the top right corner. The chat will appear on your site.

⬇ Download the OpenCart module (OCMOD)You’ll need to sign in — your site ID will be built into the archive.

No module — via the “Analytics code” (OpenCart 2 and 3)

  1. Copy the chat code in your Talkoly dashboard: Settings → Websites → your website.
  2. OpenCart admin → Extensions → Extensions → type “Analytics” → Google Analytics → ✏️ Edit.
  3. Paste the chat code into “Google Analytics Code” (if there is already Google code, add ours on a new line below it), set Status to Enabled → Save.
  4. Done — the chat appears on every page. This doesn’t touch the theme, so it survives theme updates. OpenCart 4 works the same if the Google Analytics extension is installed.

Shopper details from your website

If a shopper is logged in on your site, you can pass their details — the operator will see right away who is writing. Add this before the chat code:

<script>window.TalkolyUser = { name: "Olena Koval", email: "olena@example.com", phone: "+380671234567" };</script>

The chat isn’t showing: what to check

  • The code is pasted before </body> (on Horoshop, in the block for <body>) and the changes are saved.
  • The site cache is cleared, if you use a caching plugin.
  • Click “Check installation” in your dashboard.

After installing: what to set up first

  1. Telegram. Go to “Settings → Telegram” and reply to customers from your phone. More: Telegram live chat.
  2. Widget look. Colour, greeting and topic buttons such as “Delivery” or “In stock?” are under “Settings → Websites and widget”.
  3. Working hours. Outside them, the chat shows an auto-reply and an offline form.
  4. Air raid and power cut mode. Choose your region, and during an alert the chat explains the delay to customers by itself.
