Live chat for Shopify
Your store runs on Shopify, and your customers are in Ukraine or abroad? Add a Ukrainian live chat in a few minutes: one line of code in your theme template.
Code in theme.liquid
One line in your theme’s main file — and the chat is on every page of your store.

Included in the free planHow to install the chat on Shopify
- Sign up for Talkoly and add your store — its name and domain.
- In your dashboard, open Settings → Websites → your website and copy the line of code.
- In the Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes, click “…” next to your active theme → Edit code.
- In the Layout folder, open the
theme.liquidfile. - Find the
</body>line and paste the code right before it. Save. - Open your store and click “Check installation” in your Talkoly dashboard.
<script src="https://talkoly.com/w.js" data-site="ID" async></script> </body>
theme.liquid is the main template of a Shopify theme, and every page of your store is built from it. That’s why you only need to paste the code once. Tip: before making changes, make a copy of your theme (Duplicate), so you can quickly go back if needed. If you change your theme later, you’ll need to paste the code into the new one too.
Honestly: who Talkoly on Shopify is for
Most Ukrainian online stores run on Horoshop (a popular Ukrainian store builder), Prom, OpenCart or WooCommerce, and noticeably fewer use Shopify. That’s why we don’t have a separate Shopify app store add-on, only installation with code. But everything else works the same as on other platforms.
Talkoly is an especially good fit if you:
- Sell in Ukraine through Shopify and want a monobank (a popular Ukrainian bank) or LiqPay invoice in the chat and Nova Poshta (Ukraine’s largest delivery service) waybills.
- Sell abroad — embroidered shirts, ceramics, jewelry — and want the widget to speak the shopper’s language.
- Reply from your phone and don’t want to install yet another app: Telegram is enough.
- Get messages from Instagram and Facebook — on Pro they arrive in one inbox with your website chat.
What else the chat can do
- Who’s on your site right now: page, city, where they came from. You can message them first.
- Products from a Google Merchant feed. A feed is a file with a list of your products; with it, the operator sends product cards into the conversation (Business plan).
- An AI assistant answers from your store’s help articles when no operators are available (Pro plan). More about the website chatbot.
Frequently asked questions
Does Talkoly have an app in the Shopify App Store?
No, there’s no separate app. The chat is installed with one line of code in the theme.liquid file before </body> — it takes a few minutes.
What should I do if the chat didn’t appear on my Shopify store?
Check that the code is in the theme that’s currently active, and placed right before </body>. Then click “Check installation” in your dashboard or message us in the chat.
Can I accept monobank payments in the chat on Shopify?
Yes, on the Business plan the operator creates a monobank or LiqPay invoice right in the conversation. The money goes directly to your store’s own card payment account.
